J.T.Leroy


This evening JT Leroy spoke at Foyles bookshop in London's west end. He had guest speakers including Marianne Faithful, Beth Orton and Davey Macmanus from the Crimea.

JT certainly is an interesting character and certainly has a talent...I have read his book 'Sarah' and also have 'The heart is deceitful'

Yes! He is quite a talent....and I can see why he is friendly with JT from having read Davey's stuff...

Oooo, read the synopsis on "Sarah", is dark and different. It appears interesting, though. A comparison was made to Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. I'll have to pick it up when I finish The DaVinci Code.

Thanks for your response! How fortunate to discover your talent so young. I'm very impressed and of course, somewhat envious. So many of us just toodle along, not sure what we want until much later. I'm 45, and only had my first book published last October, and just getting into screenwriting. My 26-year old daughter has recently become interested in photography. Still young enough to make it a career, if she decides to switch. Thanks for sharing your work; it's truly amazing!

JT's Friend

JT's friend was really hot.
His name's Layke Anderson http://www.laykeanderson.com

and he's starring in the new movie that JT has been writing apparently which is called The House of Boys or something.

Layke and JT

I know Layke and he is very sweet and they are very good friends - not an item, although I think it'd be hot if they were. He was seeing a girl at the time who he took to the event, some annoying American girl.
